Kelly E. Smith is the Founder, President, Chief Executive Officer and Manager of Smith Equity Consulting, LLC and has been integral in developing the services and solutions for its clients since its inception in February 2007. She has implemented, and managed numerous equity compensation plans solving problems ranging from simple implementation and/or administration of vanilla instruments under the plan to complex and core administration issues, including implementing best practices and automation of processes, and large-scale projects, such as mergers & acquisitions, corporate financial restatements, data migrations/conversions and broker transitions.

Smith Equity Consulting LLC (SEC) specializes in the administration, accounting, reporting and education of the complex issues that companies with stock-based compensation programs face. SEC services private and public, domestic, and multinational companies located in the San Francisco Bay Area and throughout the West Coast territory. Kelly has built key relationships throughout the finance, accounting, and equity compensation industries, including brokers, software providers, law firms, transfer agents, Big 4 accounting companies, employment search firms, professional outsourcing firms and other independent consulting firms.

Kelly has worked with various private and public companies, and partnered with employment firms and 3rd party outsourcers to provide advisory level services to companies through the San Francisco Bay Area.

Kelly has a strong desire to help clients develop strategies to maximize their Corporate Equity Programs by implementing efficient processes allowing equity departments to focus more attention on their strategic initiatives. By using her knowledge of the financial, tax, and legal requirements for equity compensation programs, she has consistently helped clients achieve this goal.
